SPARKcon is a showcase of the creativity, talent, and ideas in Raleigh, NC. The annual event began in 2006 to highlight local talent, connect artistic communities, and celebrate the Triangle region's growing culture of creativity. Since then, SPARKcon has grown, using a "for the people, by the people" open source approach to engage diverse creative thinkers as inspiring community leaders. Together, they are developing ideas and recommendations to make the Triangle "the Creative Hub of the South."
